First Impressions Team
First Impressions is the ministry that helps every person who walks through our doors feel welcomed, noticed, and like they belong at CrossPoint. It includes two teams: Greeters and the Welcome Center
Greeter Team
What they do: Stand at a lobby door, hand out programs, and greet people with a smile as they arrive. Continue greeting through the first worship song.
Time commitment: About once a month, 10:10–10:35 AM on a Sunday (25 minutes).
Who this is for: Anyone willing to serve. This is a great first step for someone new to volunteering at church. Warm and friendly is a plus; that first smile at the door means a lot.
Requirements: None. No training or membership required. Just a willingness to help people feel welcome.
Welcome Center Team
What they do: Head to the welcome center during the pastor’s closing prayer. Assist with sign-ups and any welcome cards that were filled out, answer questions or point people to someone who can, and give a gift (cup and/or Bible) to newcomers. Stay about 15 minutes until the worship center clears out.
Time commitment: About once a month, roughly 15 minutes after the service.
Who this is for: Someone a bit more plugged in at CrossPoint and is able to spot someone who looks a little lost or unsure and step in to help. Good relational instincts and some familiarity with the church are a plus.
Requirements: None. No training or membership required. Just a heart to help people feel like they belong.
Why this matters right now?
CrossPoint is growing, and First Impressions is one of the easiest places to jump in and start serving right away. We’d love to grow both teams so more people can experience a warm welcome the moment they arrive.
Questions can be directed to Pastor Melanie at pastormelanie@crosspointnd.com or sign up to serve below.
Worship & Tech Team
Worship is about giving our attention completely to God. Every song we sing, every instrument we play, and everything we do is meant to point people toward Him.
If God has given you a gift in music or tech (video, sound tech or screen slides on Sundays), we’d love for you to consider using that gift to serve through the worship team.
We’re looking for people who love Jesus, want to grow, and are willing to help create a space where God gets the attention and the glory.
Time commitment:
Thursday Practices @ 7:00 – 8:30 PM when scheduled (worship team)
Sundays @ 8:30 – 11:30 AM when scheduled (worship team and tech team)
If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to talk with you! You can reach Pastor Gabe at pastorgabe@crosspointnd.com. Or sign up below.
CrossPoint Youth
1 Thessalonians 2:8 says, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
You don’t have to be the coolest person in the room to make a difference in a student’s life. You just have to be willing to show up and care about them. Our students need adults who will know their names, listen to their stories, encourage them, pray for them, and show them Jesus.
If you have a heart for the next generation, we’d love for you to consider serving as a youth volunteer. Your time and your story can make a lasting difference.
Time commitment:
Wednesdays 6:45 – 8 PM
